Tidy Closet privacy policy
Last updated: August 20th, 2026
Tidy Closet ("the app") is designed to work without collecting your personal information. This policy explains what the app stores, where it is stored, and who can access it.
Information we collect
None. The developer does not collect, receive, store, or sell any personal information about you. There are no user accounts, no sign-up, and no login.
Information the app stores on your device
The app stores the content you create so it can show you your closet:
-
Photos of your garments and accessories
-
Tags, colors, and other details you assign to them
-
Your outfit logs, including dates, optional times, and event descriptions
This content is stored locally on your device.
iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud and have iCloud Drive enabled, the app synchronizes your closet across your own devices using Apple's CloudKit, in your private iCloud database. This data belongs to your Apple Account: the developer has no access to it and cannot read it. Its handling is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
You can stop this sync at any time in your device settings, and you can delete the data by removing the app's data from your iCloud storage.
Photos and camera
The app asks for permission to use your camera and photo library only so you can add pictures of your clothes. Photos are used solely for that purpose.
All image processing — removing backgrounds, detecting garments, and extracting colors — happens entirely on your device using Apple frameworks. Your photos are never uploaded to the developer or to any third-party service.
Purchases
Tidy Closet Plus is an optional subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple; the developer never receives your payment details. The developer only sees anonymous, aggregated sales reports provided by Apple.
Analytics, advertising, and third parties
The app contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking software. No data is shared with third parties.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from them. Since no information is collected from anyone, no such data exists.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes the data stored on your device. To remove synced data, go to your device's iCloud storage settings and delete the app's data.
